An Exciting Announcement

On September 28, a special business meeting was held to determine the following:

  1. A motion is made by the Elder Board to change the name of the church from First Baptist Church to Faith Bible Church.
  2. A motion is made by the Elder Board to adopt the Constitution and Bylaws drafted and presented by the Elders at the last regularly scheduled business meeting.

The meeting was well attended and both motions passed with a super-majority.

It will take some time for us to file the proper paperwork, swap signage, rebrand, and relabel everything associated with FBC. Our hope is to have it all filed, finished, and good to go by the start of 2026. In the meantime, please address giving and all other church related donations to “First Baptist Church” for the rest of the year. Once the name has been legally changed, we will file a DBA (Doing Business As) name for the church, so nothing gets lost. However, we cannot accept checks given to “Faith Bible Church” until after all of the paperwork has been filed and approved. Giving to “First Baptist Church” for the rest of the year will ensure that your donation is received.

This is an exciting time in the life of our church! These are big changes. And yet, in the grand scheme of things, not much has changed. We are the same people, committed to the same local gathering with the same mission: To Know Jesus and Make Him Known. We now have a name that better reflects who we are and a constitution that is better aligned with God’s plan for the church.

Thank you for prayerfully partnering with the elders to make this happen. Our prayers for the people of FBC continue to resonate with Paul’s heart for the Philippians:

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. – Philippians 1:9-11
